École Assiniboine Library subscribes to the following magazines: National Geographic Index Index to National Geographic publications such as National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic for Kids, World Magazine.  Does not provide full text articles. American Girl Award-winning American Girl magazine offers great topics and activities that girls love and moms trust. National Geographic Kids National Geographic Kids magazine is greared toward readers ages 6-12. It explores science, entertainment, technology, animals, current events and cultures around the world. The accompanying website is very interactive and fun for kids. Sports Illustrated for Kids Something for everyone in this magazine. A favorite with the boys at the elementary level, it has 13 issues per year. The website is filled with great images. It focuses primarily on American athletes and events.  Zoobooks Turn your child's love of animals into a love of reading! KAYAK A Canadian magazine that targets children from 7-11. The magazine focuses primarily on Canadian history and presents it in an entertaining way. Its digest size makes it easy to hold and read. Manon A French magazine for girls to better understand the world in which they live. Every month there's a story, a comic strip, a section on animals and current news events. Pomme d'Api A French magazine for children to discover themselves, others and the world.   Wakou A French magazine for kids curious about nature and animals.        PICSOU Picsou is a French magazine in a comic book style about Uncle Scrooge McDuck (Picsou) the richest duck in the world.. Still, not even Scrooge can live on money alone... which is why he has his three beloved nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie (Riri, Fifi et Loulou) Les Débrouillards Les Débrouillards is a French science magazine. This publication touches several different subjects such as biology, nature, mysteries of the past, the environment, new tecnologies and much more. Children love the humor, games and activities     J'aime Lire J'aime Lire is a short chapter book with lots of illustrations, for our grade 3, 4 and 5 students who are reading independently in French. Each volume has a story, comics with the popular characters Tom-Tom et Nana, Fripouille et Malicette, games and riddles.     Les Explorateurs Les Explorateurs is a French magazine about animals and nature. It is designed for 6-10 year olds with its many beautiful illustrations all while being educational and fun  Youpi j'ai compris A French publication which helps young readers answer many questions on many topics. Mes premiers j'aime lire: This magazine comes with a CD so that young readers may follow along while they read the short story that is featured in each publication.
